What a guest said about Keep Cottage

We weren’t sure about Orford before visiting  – but can now thoroughly recommend it – and Keep Cottage! Because it was all so different, it felt like a holiday abroad – or maybe the past – but with better creature comforts.  Indeed, we especially felt the kitchen and its lovely equipment and the entertainment system were better than at home!

Keep Cottage is really two cottages – so the layout takes a little getting used to. Because it’s so much larger, there’s lots of unexpected space inside and out. Good sized, well furnished rooms and bedrooms and great garden areas, including an all day sun trap outside the conservatory.  It’s light and very comfortable, but not ‘cosy’ (or maybe pokey!) like a traditional little cottage.

Orford itself has plenty to explore during the day – but we most enjoyed the evenings there when it’s really quiet, and from Keep Cottage we could stroll for a choice from two good, different pubs, each with a welcoming atmosphere and good food and drink, the fish restaurant, the hotel.  We would have tried out the mobile fish and chip wagon, if we hadn’t already been using our kitchen that evening!

Since Orford attracts most visitors during the day, we travelled out and about on most days.  The area has such a wide range of interesting places to visit – which is why we looked at Orford in the first place.

We only emailed Sara with a few questions before we arrived and she was extremely prompt and helpful and really seemed to want us to enjoy our stay and use all the many facilities there.maybe that’s the difference between an owner and an agent!

Great stay and we’d definitely go back!
